Nakano primarily uses plaster to create sculptural works of which he consistently incorporates human figure motif. Unique and yet primitive and expressive representations of human are intermingled in the artist’s work, which also evokes Japanese folk crafts and ritual instruments. These features are intertwined with each other and arouse our imagination.
